I asked Beta Readers: What were your two favorite aspects of the book?

Based on a sample size of sixteen, the top three answers are in the pie chart.

Down below is all the answers they gave me.

Note: Some gave me more than two answers because they couldn’t pick just two.

I don’t know how much I can explain how much I love the characters.
This book made me feel so much—I laughed, felt annoyed, angry, frustrated, and had my heart broken.
It had been a while since I was this emotionally invested in a book.
The way the story unfolds was the best part for me.
I felt the characters complexity, and emotions. I connected with each of them in a way.
The dialogue also was just in tune with every character and their personalities! If something was said, you’d immediately know who said it or at least be able to narrow down the characters who might have said it. Both the characters and dialogues were really fleshed out and that contributed greatly to the pacing for me.

Beta Reader Quotes

It’s truly one of the most wonderful tales I’ve come across in a long time and the saddest too.
The diverse cast of interesting characters with unique dynamics was wonderful.
This book is as unique as its name.
The concept of a large cast felt overwhelming at first, but I adapted quickly and had no problem afterward.
I enjoy reading something different (which I was promised) and this was clearly delivered.
I liked the themes of, or rather the discussions of PTSD, PTSI, and collective trauma, which is what drew me to your story in the first place.
I didn’t know what to expect, but it exceeded all my expectations.
Pacing was very good. It flowed very nicely across.
It was really easy for me to emotionally connect with the characters and the book.
I loved each and every character.
I liked the characters because merely reading about them you could immediately deduce their entire persona! The kind of person they are, the thing they can do and not do, the things they can say and not say, etc.
I also appreciated the representation of neurodivergent characters in your story, as a result of their environment and experiences. Everyone faces something different in the world. On Earth, and on Rodatunda.
